Sram s-2210 gxp pf compatible to normal gxp bottom bracket?

Hi. I purchased SRAM s-2210 from a Scott Scale pro 2011. I didnt know before purchasing t. hat it was GXP press fit bottom bracket. I have a normal outboard bearing bottom bracket. Does it work with a normal GXP bottom bracket? My LBS told me its fine? Im a bit dubious. Any views will be a very much appreciated! Thanks!

Sorry, correction it was a Scott Scale pro 29er 2012 not 2011.
