Just want to check before i do this,
Looking to replace the rear mech on my rockhopper bike,
Am looking to get a SLX rear mech SGS type as this seems to be the correct type for my bike, question is though do i need to replace my shifters??
I ask as i remember hearing about making sure the shifters are compatible with the mech, as they are "dyna sys" now..
heres the rear mech im getting, do i need new shifters or im ok?

will not work. dyna sys is 10spd that mech is not.
if you have to have that mech you will need a new drive train.
See the FAQs."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Just to clarify i have a 9 speed bike not 10 speed...
I just heard about the Dyna sys and shifter to mech compatibility so wanted to check if it affect me, from what you saying Dyna sys only affects 10 speed bikes ?
So seems i dont need to get new shifters for my rockhopper just stick the new mech on and sorted:)London2Brighton Challange 100k!
