I must admit I really don't understand how these work. How does it stop the mud going in your face?

Mud flys off the tyre, up between the fork brace and crown and you ride into it, the guard stops that mud coming up.

This might actually be a step up over the neoguard. One thing I am not too keen on with it, is that in thick mud, it collects around the stancheons, which I am not too happy with.
