derailleur adjustment screws - alternatives

I just had to drill out a screw on a front mech I just got from ebay as it had rounded out.

I know it's easy to do this (I've done it myself before) due to the soft aluminium the screws are made of.

Are there any alternatives that can be used so you don't have as much of a problem with rounding the heads?

Anything that fits really! Take the mech to a DIY shop and try a few hiten steel screw/bolts. You may have to saw the tip of and file.
