For a mountain bike do you think straight bars are better then 'riser' or 'monkey bars'?

Depends on the bike, some bikes I prefer with very narrow flat bars, mainly in the XC area or fitness bikes, the heftier bikes, larger travel bikes with wide riser bars.0

This. I run much lower bars than a mate to keep my weight over the front wheel where I like it. He runs massive risers to keep his weight over the back so he can manual through everything.0 -
