Hi all,

I know both types or bar (monkey and straight) are popular but I never really knew what the benefits are between them?

I'll be purchasing a new bar soon and would like your opinions on which you think is best?

Many thanks,

Straights are typically a lot lighter but, unless you have a high rise stem, tend to rest your hands a lot lower. Tend to have more space on them to put lights and such on. Monkey bars tend towards the heavier side but do tend to give a higher handling position without resorting to raiser stems or lots of shims between the headset and the stem.

One that puts your hands where you need them.
