My first cycling event is in five days time...

and I was wondering how much training I should or should not be doing in the last few days building up to this Saturday.
The event is 100kms of mild incline (so I am told) and I have been training for almost 2 months now. In that time I have lost 21kgs (I'm now 102kgs) and clocked up about 600kms with plenty of hill time in the process.
My legs are quite fatigued ATM from training and I would appreciate any feedback from experienced cyclists about how you prepare in the last few days before an event.
Thanks in advance!
Marcus.

I usually do a hard ride or a couple of spin sessions two days before the ride which seems to give my legs a chance to recover after a good workout.
If my rides on a Sunday however, I also go for a gentle ride on the Saturday just to free up the joints and it also gives me a chance to check the bike is set up correctly. There's nothing worse than feeling fit and healthy yet your bike isn't.Scott Foil - viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=129827790 -

What kind of 'event' are you doing?
If it's a race, then i'd start reducing the riding on the buildup to the race.
If it's a sportive, i'd just keep riding normally.0 -
