I do :D

It's about a mile long, never any traffic. You could just about do it on a big gear but I prefer to change down, rpm up, de-skin and chomp down.

    Sigh

Do you have a place in your ride where you regularly eat a banana?

    Lively lot here.

Blimey, you must have a hell of a fast metabolism for a banana to kick in, in time to be of help on a miles climb

Sounds like Hannibal Lecter having a banana.

Oh, so you're talking about eating a banana while on a steady, easy gradient!

Nope, only got proper mountains around here.

Bananas contain pectin which increases your metabolism, but remember to get up hills faster...time flies like an arrow but fruit flies like a banana :D

I do it but only when riding with others...all part of basic psychological warfare, being able to keep up with others who are struggling away and you are taking it easy having a banana :D

    That's the spirit.

I don't talk to them though.

    That would be weird.
  • I don't like bananas.

Unless they're mashed with honey, warmed up and served on toast, but I can't do all that on a hill. The microwave won't fit in my jersey pockets.

I went in to a Banana Dip today. Does that count? Not sure about the gradient but it made my feet slip trying to climb on foot out of it.
