Crank arm size and BB height

Does BB height have any relation to what size crank arms that are ideal to choose from?
Currently I run 175mm cranks however these are on my Pashley 26Mhz. I'm now building an Ellsworth Specialist for more aggressive trail riding and was looking for some advice as to what size to choose from.
If it helps I'm approximately 5'6" and have a 32" inside leg.
Can anyone help?
