Budget Stem

Hi all,

Looking for a new set of bars and stem. I've pretty much decided on the sunline v1 bars that are on offer on CRC so just need a stem to go with it.
So anyone have any recommendations of a stem for an oversize bar, preferably about £20-30

I've got an Exotic stem from carboncycles, does the job well and cheap, too.

Exotic for xc/trail/light AM, Gusset Staff if you are a heavyweight who thrashes over stuff.

I have the Exotic Meta F 80mm, weighs (verified by me) 125g. For £20.

Im after a shorter stem for my cube, Can anyone tell me what size I should be looking for?

Im after a 60mm stem but cant work out if I need the 31.8?

EDIT: I just looked and I have easton oversized bars so the 31.8 is fine

Depends what diameter bars, almost undoubtedly 31.8

Depends on the clamp size of your bars. Oversized - 31.8 (which is what the probably are) or 25.4.

Out of the two I'd guess 80mm but if you are really torn, why not 70mm? There are lots of stems out there - I got an CNC on one stem and I'm happy with it.
