PM's and outbox?

Trying to send a pm to a forum member and the message just sits in the outbox and I need the message to be sent?
Now got 5 messages in outbox and none of them seem to go to intended member?

Help?

Desperately trying to get in touch about some wheels and he doesnt know I want them??

Is it a setting I need to change?

It stays there till it's read by the recipient, so you have a built-in Read Receipt.

You could always pm the recipient to let them know they haven't read you messages.
