When ever I get to approx 60 mile rides my legs start to ache?.

I eat plenty on the way and have plenty of fluids and feel fine in myself energy wise but legs give up, any advice or training methods to solve this issue.

Many thanks.

    or ride less, hehe.

I had this just the other week after switching from my winter bike, I altered my seat height by about oooh it must have been a millimetre. I put it down to my legs not stretching fully on the down stroke.

Of course they ache - you've just ridden 60 miles!

Just do more miles did 50 miles yesterday no aching did a quick 20 miles today did 30 Friday and Saturday.
Only thing made my legs ache was back in October 2011 had a week abroad missed riding my bike like hell. I did 39 miles 5 hills one 22% one rising 500ft 2 of them are the toughest hills in my area one that defeated me a year earlier and the 22% one I never tried before 2000ft of climbing according to Bikehike. I felt it a bit in my thighs the next day when walking down the stairs!

I'm no expert but spinning a low cadence is a sure fired way to kn4cker the legs on a ride ... check you cadence and try spinning more?

    This.

If you want them to not ache... start riding 100s in training.. then 60 will feel like nothing!
