No matter what make of Bib i wear, nor what size (I tried smaller) the pad always rides up at the front and after 20 mins of peddling I am sat on just Lycra. Is this a common problem?

I am sure that it cant just be a manufacturer problem, it will be something to do with my position, or some body mechanic.

Any thoughts/solutions would be greatly received

I have experienced similar problems with Campagnolo bibs. What manufacturers bibs have you tried?

May the wind always be at your back.

Not had this problem! If you go for a smaller size it's like a second skin there's no way mine new Casttelli Presto bibs could ride up. Because I've lost weight since I bought my DHB Aeron bibs in large I went for a medium Castelli presto with are a tight fit but feel like a second skin and much better fit and more comfortable than the DHB Aeron was in large. I probably need a medium in DHB now. Castelli do a body paint bib over £100 notes but that it how I would describe the fit of the Castelli Presto bibs it feels like they're painted on. You can't feel your wearing them they are so comfortable! Quality bibs!

I would guess your shorts are too big - embrace the tightness, If not that, then you must have one of the strangest pedalling techniques ever... i can't even begin to fathom how you re achieving that...

Your problem sounds very bizarre. The pad shouldn't move; even with the wrong size, I cannot imagine it moving. Don't wish to be patronising, but have you been wearing them the right way round, and are they correct type for your gender.. :?
