The plan was to keep the existing wheels (shimano RS500's) just as a winter or training wheel. I ain't been impressed with them at all and any write ups on the bike say it's the first thing that should be changed.
I know a guy rides the 50's and rates them highly, but he is in a position to chop and change them with other wheels as and when he needs to. I'm not too sure about riding 50's all through the summer, so a set of the 24's may be a more sensible option0 -
That's my plan with the RS500's. To be honest I haven't had any problems with them (touch wood) but I would like something a bit lighter.
The 50mm RS80's look great but about £100 over my budget. I'm currently looking at Ksyrium Elites but I may consider the C24's now as they are over £100 cheaper. Thanks for that.
After the new wheels it's a new saddle; not as comfy as I'd like. Ridden on worse but I'll be looking at a Fizik (when funds allow).Pitch Pro - http://heathy.pinkbike.com/album/My-Bike

Well, I've gone from some 34 spoke Bontrager wheels off my old Trek 1.1 so I've noticed quite a difference in weight. The bike just seems a bit more lively, climbs hills more easily and rolls better, I also upgraded my tyres from Bontrager Sport to a set of Michelin Pro 3's so this will also contribute to the difference.
Overall I'm very happy with them.2019 Ribble CGR SL
