I don't know anything about horse racing, so I can't answer this one.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.
  • Does that mean Roubaix isn't a "true" classic as it finishes on a track?

Btw, where did the Scot and the American go?

    Dennisn and the other guy?

Did they quit BR when Lance retired (properly)?

For those days when neither Iain nor FF are available, our new apps can now simulate their responses:

iIain - "What I think of this years Giro"

iFrenchfighter - " Thats not a true champion - This is a True Champion"
'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'

Track is Sh*t. Sprint finishes are boring. Leipheimer is a massive wheelsucker. Canc is a true champ. Samu is classy. Evans is gritty(er than he used to be and attacks more). The End

What about the Schlecks, you forgot them!

I quit bikeradar when LanceA returned..had a post count the equal of Iainf and now am on 8,500 to his 11000 + posts..mainly having to come on bikeradar with fists up all the time in forum strewn with Armstrong threads cracked me. It's a lot nicer on here now LAs retired and feds finished the investigation.

Ah, you mean Mory Gub? He only posts on Armstrong threads and this is a sprinters one (thus far)....
We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Clearly :) Horses may run on a track in America, but here they run on a course
  • It would be good if leading riders were still interested in doing the hour - that was an excellent combination of top road riders and the track marking you out as a True Champion. The UCI have destroyed that connection, though the sport has changed too with increasing specialisation and peaking for specific events making a crack at the hour ever more remote.

Anyway I suspect Iain and Frenchie won't agree as the track is boring going-in-circles and you cannot show any panache doing the hour.

    I wouldn't be so sure.

Being 1km behind with 5 minutes to go, and then doing a 5 minute sprint to win the day....
  • Yeah but it's just going faster in circles for 5 minutes innit?

I don't share this view by the way!
