Badly squeaking brakes

Fitted my new carbon wheels today. With a set of Mavic yellow brake pads.
The wheels have a carbon braking surface.

I set the pads up straight as per instructions. So they are not tied in.
But everytime I brake they squeak so loudly.

It sounds like a rubbish cheap Apollo bike not a great road bike.

Anyone got any ideas how to stop this or do they just need to bed in? The rims seem a bit shiney. Only done about 20 miles on them.

new wheels sometimes take a little bit of breaking in as far as im aware, so it might just be the top layer of "factory rubbish" coming off to get to the actaul brake serfice if you get what i mean. should be fine, keep riding do some long breaking on a hill or somthing then youll be right as rain!

I don't know anything about squeaking brakes on carbon wheels.

But I do know the term for brake block alignment is toe-in, not tie-in.
