brodie fury or devinci duke s?

I am looking at getting a new xc bike for the summer. I am able to get a deal on these two bike through a family friend. looking at the components which bike would you say is a better buy/choice? they both come in at around the same price ($1100-$1200). thanks for the input!

Assuming you are in Canada, and having no idea what a $ is worth, they both look a bit expensive.
I'd probably take the one with the Marzocchis though.

Off what, the prices above, or are those the discounted prices. Also how much is a $? Most people on here are in the UK.

i get 30% off the price i gave you. so i am looking at maybe $750. 1 pound is a $1.60 canadian.

Personally the Brodie, as I prefer Shimano stuff, and the fork is probably better.
