Cube LTD Race vs Trek 6500

Hi

I'm new to this forum. I am looking for a new mountain bike after not cycling for about 5 years. Have limited my search to the above two bikes. What do you guys thinK?

    Test them to see which one feels better. I went for the Cube - I like the light frontend and xc geometry. Comfortable for my stumpy legs and long body.
    However my mate cant stand it - horses for courses!

    I have a cube race 2010 and having had a attention understand the difference in speed that the race can offer. It is a very unforgiving bike on the trials but push it hard and it will make you smile. It is very hardcore.

    I have a cube ltd race 2012, awesome bike, I bought in a similar circumstance as to yours (not ridden for years) look at what you get for your money to, cube seem to give better vfm. Good luck matey.

    well' I've just done a deal on a trek 6900....due to be ready for collection on tue/wed .... Can't wait..
