Issue with Tektro Auriga

Have just fitted some Tektro Auriga's (used) to the lads bike, the front works fine, but the rear pads won't stay against the disc, drawing back each time that they only just start to bite as the lever hits the bar, is it just that they are low on fluid (as sort of suggested by the Tektro manual which otherwise suggests no other 'solution').

We've tried the reach adjust and lever to the bars overnight with no joy.

  • are both pistons moving?

try putting a spacer to push pistons back in then pump the brake for a bit it should sort it out if not then they need a bleed
    worst moment ever...
buzzing down twisting single track then.... psssst BANG!!!

Both pads move as soon as the lever is pulled, it's just they have backed so far off, all the lever travel is taken up moving them into contact with the disc.

They don't need a bleed, they may need topping up!

Just take the wheel out, pull the brake and allow the pads to move in on each other.
