edited March 2012 in Your road bikes
So after about a year of sourcing parts from just about everywhere, including bikeradar I've finally got my best bike up and running. After doing about 200 miles on it, I must admit it feel tremendous! Love the double tap shifting, which i find much crisper than my old 105 set up. This is my first time posting a bike pic here but hopefully I've done it all correctly!

Anyways, I'm pleased as punch with it and I would be pleased to know your thoughts....

  • Lovely looking bike there mate.
Just out of interest how much did you end up paying for the bars? Just looking into ordering some from the same place

I'm afraid the bars are one of the parts that I bought an age ago... After looking at them on eBay etc I decided to buy them direct from Dengfu, along with the seat post & forks that I got for another frame build. Best way to get a price is to email them, I dealt with a girl called Mina & she always replied within a day or so! Off hand I think the bars came in at around £60 plus delivery. I would strongly recommend them, I'm biased bt the internal cabling looks rather smart!

Take the warning stickers off the wheels. Otherwise looks great!

Nice. I think that's my fave PX road frame, one I would be tempted to buy if I didn't have the Pro Carbon SL already.

Beautiful. Except for the saddle, it looks a bit cheap. But so long as it's comfortable that's all that matter.

If you find the reach a bit far (I suspect you do b/c the saddle is very far forward and tilted down) you could always move the shifters a little higher up the bars, but only a little. They are quite lot set on the bars at the moment.
    When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.

How are those wheels? Only wondering because i'm curious how good non-brand stuff is...:)

Looks nice. I have the guru edition of this, and really rate it. Not sure about the floral patterns on the bar tape, though it's certainly a bit different.

Agree with FJ that the hoods look a little low - but that's a personal thing and if you find it comfortable then all good.
