The work car park looks like this:

Customers cars, and a couple of my colleagues cars in the background.

    Very pretty.

Stunning, May I ask where you work and what you do?

    Is it car related?

I sell parts for old English sportscars. We've made it to the 1970's, at least as far as the pc brigade are concerned.
The little Austin 7 special is gorgeous, don't often get stuff like that in. The A35 is being converted into a race car.
A short while later someone beached his Volvo 4x4 in such a way it was diagonally over the back of the A35's parking space. Trying to live up to a stereotype I guess. Ruined the look of the place.

We can tell its spring round here by the sun glittering on the beer cans and the chavs removing their shirts

I see the Hawthorn blossom in the hedges.

First come the Aconites. But it's still Winter then.

    Veronese68,
Just pulled my Series Land Rover ('B' plate, 'Sixties) out of the field for the annual Ministry test on Monday; am I right in thinking that non-functioning washers is a fail, or should I just remove the pipe & nozzle for an aged-related "not fitted" exemption?

Not too sure when they have to be fitted from. Could be worth trying for the not fitted option. I presume you have tried lots of pumping. Assuming it's a manual pump look at the one way valve. Unfortunately the correct pumps are not available.

Thanks - ought to check power at the pump; if none, will put the safari bonnet back on and feign ignorance.

No, much as I like all of that it does turn into a bit of a busman's holiday. Brooklands is wonderful though, I will be going for the Italian car day in May.

Finally made a list of jobs to get the race car ready for Silverstone in May. Don't think there's too much that needs doing except replacing the front roll cage legs because MSA have changed the rules on design (£500 wasted). Looking forward to racing though.

Might try to come along at some point, which series are you in? Work is sponsoring the HRDC this year.

I'm racing in the newly-formed Alfa Romeo Owners Club series (Classics) which is running as part of this lot

It's a departure from the usual SMRC stuff at Knockhill that I've done the last 3 years. Want a change of circuit.

Feel free to do it in your garden or the beach.

But standing on the street outside a pub?

    Put the shirt back on.

Would a vest be OK with you?

    What about down the park?

I think we need a full list of rules?

    It's quite simple.

    Nice flow chart.

:? Live and let live mate. Not everyone's got a garden. I'm sure you can find a pub without naked torsos if you have a problem with them.

Do you live in Hanworth? Go to a park if you want to sunbathe and don't have a garden. I used to work in a pub that opened out onto a common, blokes would often sit outside with their shirts off. That's fine. But if you expect to walk ino the pub and be served there is a simple tule, no shirt no service.
