Baggy shorts with liners - which ones??

I dropped into Evans in Birmingham briefly today to have a look at shorts as I really think its time I invested in some.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who says it, but I really can't bring myself to wear Lycra.....I'm just not that kinda guy!! Haha

Anyways, with that in mind, I was looking at the baggies shorts, poss 3/4 length as that's what I tend to wear out and about too, with a padded liner to help with the London-Brighton ride in a few months. I've only really spotted two pairs that fit the bill, but may have missed loads so would appreciate your input. The ones I've seen are the Gore Plaster Ultra and the Endura Hummvee. Both of these sit around the £50 mark, which is the kind of budget that I've set myself. Can anyone recommend one or the other of these, or anything else worth looking at?

Cheers!

Use Edura when out on MTB also had pair of Madison both very comfy and hard wearing, I do tend to use proper shorts under thou rather than the liner that comes with em.

I just had some Surface Liquistretch shorts delivered today and really like the look and feel of them. They don't have lining but I will wear them with padded undershorts like the rest of my shorts.

Edinburgh Bikes do a similar version to the hummers for £5 less. They're a bit tighter fit around the knees. I have a pair of hummers that are great for all round use & comfy whether riding or walking. Plenty of pockets too.

The liners are well attached, 4 clumps of 3 poppers each but they're a sod to get your foot all the way into 1st time.

Before I went the lycra route, I wore a pair of these:

Good quality and value; the padding in the undershort is comparable to Altura. Good length as well - I'm 6' with 33" inside leg and they sit a fraction above my knees.
