Hello, this is my first post here. I have been working on a blog that uses all three of my hobbies- cycling, cooking, and photography. I've been looking for some variety for food on the bike and here's what I have completed so far. I'm always looking for suggestions for improvement. What do you guys think? Thanks!

My latest recipe: potato cakes

Any other places I should be posting this to get more traffic? Trying to get more visitors. I've got a fair amount of traffic from bike forums.
  • I suggest you try a re-titled entry:
"Girls in Ride food Blog" would get hundreds of hits
    :)

thats a great blog - needs more norks but you cant have everything. My savoury ridey thing of choice was mr lims rice cakes but i'll deffo give the potato cake a go and a veggie version of the bacon bread.

most excellent - tried the potato cakes yesterday - need to experiment with consistency but very tasty, and today had the (veggie) bacon bread - lovely - never mind riding, would even do as a light lunch. Bookmarked the site. :D

Not sure if this is an ad for alan limms new book?

Most of the recipes in the blog are his and freely available on youtube and have been for a while.
His book came out a few months ago. I may be wrong but....

he says the recipes are from there
I also spent a good amount of time in the kitchen with my new book The Feed Zone by Allen Lim and perfected a granola recipe.

Some of the recipes in the book are great while others are hit and miss. I have been trying to post the ones I like and improve the others that need work- I have tried his version of orange chicken and it was gross. I have my own version that is a lot better that I will post in the future. For now I am adding a flourless chocolate cake recipe that is different from Allen Lim's. I didn't like a few things about his recipe. Here it is: enjoy!

Nah. It's a bike food blog so it MUST have bikes, or bike bits, or bike clothing, or bike riders in the background*. Otherwise it's just food.

    * Just make sure it's not some hipster poseur on a fixie in the background

Just got a new lens and I am liking it - Nikon 35mm f/1.8. I'll try to put some bike stuff in the background of my next post.

Decided that the energy bars sold are too full of sugar/additives and/or expensive. So decided to bake banana bread/cake and today had muesli for breakfast and then a huge great slab of banana bread to send me on my way.
Trouble is, I have some sort of bug and I cannot say if it was a success or not. Maybe if I hadn't eaten the banana cake, I would have keeled over and died unceremoniously in a ditch and never got home - you never know.
Recipe if you want it - dead simple.

PS Haaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa heeeeeeeeeeeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeee, [rolling about with laughter at the knowledge that Cleat is a veggie !!!] Dunno why I find it so funny, maybe its because he has this thing about Claire Balding and there is nothing vegetarian about getting into CB's knickers.
