I'm hoping to get a new front dérailleur sorted ASAP and I've been trawling through the Internet trying to find one that will work.
I need a bottom pull, top swing for a 9 speed. Gears are 22, 32, 42. At the moment I've got a shimano deore so just looking to replace like for like for ease.
I've found this which I THINK will fit, but please could somebody with a bit of knowledge confirm? Also, there are two options of what seem to be the same thing on the Evans website when you 'Select and buy' but there doesn't seem to be any explanation as to what the differences are.
Is buying the correct derailleur really this difficult and critical?

Thanks very much for any help.

Hmm, thanks for letting me know.
It's difficult because I'm on my phone but I'll try again.

It doesn't say what diameter of seat tube it covers.0

Although it doesn't say on the Evans web site I've read somewhere else that it wl fit a 31.8 post which is what I have.0

Should be fine then - the multibands are usually a 34.9 with shim for 31.8, or 31.8 with shim for 28.6.0
