Removing fresh tub glue
Hi all,
I glued my first tub last season and got on pretty well except getting some glue over the side wall and a bit on the wheeel.
I've just put up with the cosmetic bit of glue on the side wall.
I'm going to do another tub glue in the next couple of weeks and wondered what people would recommend to have around to clean up any misplaced glue imedietly during the glueing process?
Cheers

If you're very careful, white spirit does the trick (it's the best solvent i've found for actually removing the glue, having tried acetone & alcohol too), though I wouldn't use it on the sidewall (you run the risk of it affecting the adhesion of the base tape), just use it to clean any spots off the braking surface.0

Try Sticky Stuff remover or similar with D-Limonene in it.Recipe: shave legs sparingly, rub in embrocation and drizzle with freshly squeezed baby oil.0
