Hi again
Quick question regarding stems if I may, I have ordered in some new bars and need a new stem to accomodate them. My standard fit on the harrock 2010 is a 75mm with a 15 degree rise.
I have searched long and hard and come up with 2i quite like the look of...
Pro Alloy Stem
http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Pro-PLT-Alloy-S ... _38918.htm
With 60 or 70mm with 10 degrees
or
Race Face Evolve XC
http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+Shop ... 10EX31.htm
With 70mm and 6 degree rise
I understand the slightly shorter stem will make the handling more "snappy" which is good, however how much of an effect will the drop from the orignial 15 degree upsweet to 10 or possibly 6 have on the handling?
I appreciate it may stretch out my riding position a touch which is fine as the wider low riser bars I am getting are to achieve that anyway.
Cheers

In the FAQ we have a little applet that equates the actual reach with different rise stems.0

Personally I would avoid the PLT - Its a roadie stem. The XLT is the MTB version.A Flock of Birds
