Hi all,
Had my rear wheel hub fail on me this weekend - Cube Ltd Race 2011 fitted with Sun Ringle Ryde XMB wheelset... decent wheels but plenty of problems with the hubs as I've discovered...
Anyway replacement parts available on CRC etc, but wondering if I should be looking at the Mk1 or Mk 2 free-hub?
What's the difference between them? Will either do? Is the Mk2 a better option (fixed problem) than the Mk1?
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=54489 ???
or
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=54490 ???
Will be needing new axle too... as I damaged threads using a vice-grips when trying to remove the nut on other side... am just going to source the parts and leave in capable hands of the LBS I think...
Thanks a million!

You will have to take it apart first the mark one has loose bearings in the hub and the mark 2 has sealed cartridge bearings in and they are not interchangable.0

Thanks a million Baznav - I managed to knock out the axle and see that it's the Mk 2 with cartridge bearings... Whole hub dirty and bone dry flushed it out, dried and packed with grease... Sorted out the damaged threads with sandpaper and managed to get the nut back on so put all back together and give it a test run tomorrow, will see if any improvement!0

I know this is on old thread but I need to replace the freehub body on my 2010 ltd race and was wondering if I also need the Mk2
