Maybe a bit late but wheelbase in stavley, Cumbria is having a big demo weekend next saturday and Sunday. A mate and I are going on Sunday. Going to test a lappiare spicy, whyte 146 and a trek Slash. Should be a good day out and it's only costing me a tenner.

Might head down to this and try out a Ghost am 7 series full susser :P

The bikes I fancied at the Wheelbase demo day were all booked up. Might be worth turning up with your gear on the off-chance there is something available. Lots and lots of Trek bikes
bjj....some shops have dumped the Lappierre brand due to poor warranty support. There has been issues with cracked bb shells and other stuff. Personally not a fan of press fit bb shells!! One of my only concerns with the Ghost I like
Do some googling before you commit.
Cannondale Jekyll is on my wish list. A friend came 2nd in class, overall class winner of the recent Innerliethen Enduro series on one :D

Going for a ride on a 5. Really good ride even if you don't buy a bike :D

Trailpuppet- thanks for the heads up RE the lappiare bikes. Was hoping to have a go on the yeti sb66 but it was fully booked :(

Something to consider is cost of maitenance :? depends on where you ride will determine how long your pivot bearings last. How much will a bearing kit cost and can you do it yourself?
The Orange 5 may not be the best looking bike but being single pivot has some serious advantages :!:
