Hi there - was at Llandegla trails on saturday with a guy stopping people from entering the B-line as his mate had crashed at the end of the boardwalk and an ambulance was there. Just wanted to say thanks for the chap for stopping the rest of us hurtling along the boardwalk and adding to the mess (maybe i shouldnt ride alone!) and I hope hes OK. :D

bet he didn't expect the drop off and panicked!
  • Hope hes ok, but come on B-lines been on utube since before it was opened and the same vid shows in the shop.
The sign at the start tells you its a black run, and theres even a drop in onto the board walk to put the inexperienced off.
Its either a genuine accident (weve all had them) or he was riding way out of his skill set.

Last time I was there there were a couple of lads (teens) carrying thier bikes over the drop in onto the board walk.
I tried to put them off as they didnt even have helmets.
Needless to say they carried on and tried to keep up for a while until they realized just what was involved and then has a very long push.

As I say I hope the rider is ok and makes a good recovery and well done to his mate for having the sense to stop others.

By the sounds of it he was a mate of mine riding with a few other lads from the Aberystwyth mtb club, did they look like students?

yeah sounds like it was matt, wasn't there personally but heard of his crash, by the sound of it they had a good day, he ended up in hospital, not sure what with, and another lad somehow managed to cut his hand quite bad on his brake rotor... all is well now though I believe!
