Happened a matter of minutes in front of my b-i-l as he was driving southbound a couple of hours ago. Possibly a coming together where the southbound sliproad joins the A1. Anyone any news on the TTer?

Sad sad news.
A lad I used to race with as a junior was killed on the A1 near Blyth roundabout, twenty odd years ago.
Never wanted to ride my bike on the A1 before or since..0 -

I drove past the accident on the north bound carriageway, seen the bike frame in the middle of the road and it made me feel quite ill just seeing the frame knowing that it can happen that easily

It was during an open TT organised by my club, Trent Valley Road Club. I wasn't present however.
