Just looking for a bit of help or advice if anyone can help.
I bought a Falcon MX Pro a few years ago, not for anything special, I just thought I'd like a bike for a bit of a runaround.
When I first got on it the brakes were really rubish. Only had a quick go then the bike went in storage while I was out of the country. Back home now, pump the tyres up and ready to go except the front (hydraulic) brake wont work, lever moves freely but nothing there. I was going to try fix it and then remembered they were crap anyway, so I thought I'd get some new brakes and try to upgrade the bike bit by bit.
So I need some advice on getting new brakes. Cant spend a fortune but do want something that stops well. At the moment on the bike are Promax hydraulic brakes front and back 160mm discs. They must be crap because theres not much more details on the brakes.

To be honest, I've been trawling the magazine best buy lists and stuff and then had a look on ebay for some cheap ones on there. So far I've looked at Avid Juicy 4 and some Hayes Stroker going for under a tenner, but dont really know if they'll fit or anything. The bike was only a couple of hundred quid but I dont want to spend loads.0

They should fit, as will come with mounts (or use the ones on your existing brakes).
If you don't mind the wait, get these:
