I've been pretty frugal so far

    Just a new chain

Oh yeah and some ksyrium elites. . . Wife doesn't know about these though and thankfully hasn't noticed so they don't count :D

My finger is hovering over a few more things though. Must resist!!

£1900 on a new Felt F4 2011 model on sale at Sigma Sport.
£12 on a pair of sidi white over-socks.
£28 on a 120mm carbon wrapped Deda stem.
£30 on Carbon wrapped Deda Handlebars.
    £16 on a new C02 gun and 5 cartridges.

Trying to resist a new Jersey and shorts. My Giordana stuff from last year is fine but I really want to buy a Mavic Jersey and bibshorts because I am a tart. Love to get more Rapha but really cannot justify that at all.

Not much so far, just some winter gloves, a spoke key, some really cheap lights off flea-bay (which I gave to my Nephew) and a gilet. But I'm just about to drop £500 on a new wheel set when I can make my mind up.

So far this year, two new tyres and pair of u/shorts,£20? pocket pump and recovery tablets, £20? saddle and computer, £35? It's all a bit vague... Oh! and a turbo trainer, £120. Not so much really and all essential, agreed with Mrs S G prior to purchase, honest. But wait, Lidl Cycling Promotion next week, likely to be an Aldi event shortly, hmm.....perhaps further reflection required.
The older I get the faster I was

Replacing a few worn out bits and bobs. New cassette and chain, new Campagnolo cables throughout and bearings for the crank and Eurus rear wheel. Total about £220. Oh, and some Assos summer gloves, but they were a pressie and don't count.
  • There's stuff I need - new mitts, CO2 inflator, brake pads
    There's stuff I want - new hoops
And then there's the wad I've already blown on Soreen.
    Broke.
Until I get paid on Tuesday.

    Lets see - spend so far;

    MTB; -
new Deore SLX brakes and XT discs. ~ £100

    Dawes Horizon tourer:-
new wheels (due to pothole disaster) - £160
    New chainset (Stronglight) £85
    New chains x2 - £10
    New cassette x 2 - £46
New rims to replace the damaged ones - £46

Total = £347 which is a fair bit for a bike that is probably worth less than £100

Misc from a cycle promotions sale
About £50 for a load of TF2, GT85, a Zefal pump, Crudcatchers for the MTB, a mudflap for the Dawes and probably some other bits I forgot about.
Also a couple of minor tools

So, grand total = about £500 which is rather more than I thought it would be.......
    Faster than a tent.......

I bought: - 1 x adjustable HSS reamer to make my bike standard to all other bikes. 31.55mm Seatpost - Really?
    - 2 x Continental Tires, just now
    - 1 x roll of Blue/ Black fizik microtex dual tape

The latter two had the St Patricks day CRC sale on them though so come to £55 (basically half price - get in!) grand total of C.£85

Pretty happy with that! I was expecting hundereds! Thanks whoever started this thread!

Please note this does not include the doubtless thousands that I will have spent in cake shops around Derbyshire with the club ;)

Nothing so far - and I am very pleased with that. I did my first ride on a road bike since breaking my collar bone this morning and was mighty chuffed with myself although I did find that I was gripping the handle bars a lot tighter than usual.

Having had a pre-accident energy bar that had been lurking in my drawers since last year I think that my next spend will be to buy some Clif energy bards that are actually in-date to avoid poisoning myself! Instead of buying bits for bikes I just need to ride them.

Although that said, if anyone knows where to get their hands on some 2007 Ultegra shifter top caps I would be interested, mine got knackered in my crash :(

What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!

    So far;

£2490 on a Giant TCR Advanced 2 full bike with a few accessories including a set of DA 7900 C24 wheels and gp4ks tyres.

£59 on BC membership ++ race license

£110 on a set of mavic pro road shoes

    Some money on bike clothing.

I'd expect my spend so far to be approx £3k. Got another couple of hundred to spend on new summer clothing.

About £600 on various parts and clothing.

Manged though to recoup £490 selling older stuff so all not bad.

I did make a promise of no new bikes this year but I'm sure a £500 Spesh on the cycle to work scheme won't break the bank :)

Up until this month is was just a Rapha Gilet, some Planet X brakes a few new water bottles and some mudguards. Then a less than year old Colnago Master popped up on eBay and I had to buy it

Raided the savings account to cover it but it did come loaded with top condition Dura Ace 7800, Cinelli Ram 2 Colnago bars, Ksyrium wheels and a host of other blingy bits - so they've been removed and with be [cough] going on sale in a few days [cough] to help recoup some of the cost

A new water bottle is all so far and in fact I only bought a few essential items for the whole of last year such as lube, cream, energy drink etc so it's been less than a 3 figure sum since Dec 2010. Guess I'm due bit of a spend then....
