I need a carbon post with massive payback - any thoughts? Truth be told the frame I'm the fixeh is a cm or two too small.FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits

Thought about better shorts but I'll be doing a few races in tri-shorts this summer, so need a mix of MTFU and some better shock absorption.
Isn't it about 500 miles to break in a brooks Godders1?0 -
I bought one of these a few months ago

Genuinely surprised at the difference in comfort. Big improvement.0 -

Worth noting that's it's a a bit of a bugger to adjust, very fiddly. I only bought it because I was after an inline carbon post, this one is very light which is what caught my eye first, my old post was carbon too so I wasn't expecting to feel any difference. It really does dampen those big jolts and bumps.0 -

http://www.canyon.com/_en/shop/?category=F07&item=25214A rigid aluminium bike like this could be uncomfortable, but the seatpost helps prevent this. The Canyon VCLS post combines carbon with basalt, offering plenty of comfort-increasing flex.0

The Exotic carbon/titanium:

I use one on my zaskar, fair bit of give! Great piece of kit, and from 146g!0 -
Fitted the Deda last night and some cheeky bugger re-laid the tarmc on my entire route, it was buttery smooth!
Why didn't I do this years ago. I like my bike again, might not need a new frame after all!PeteMadoc wrote:iPete wrote:PeteMadoc wrote:I bought one of these a few months ago

I have the FSA sl-k seatpost on my fixie - the slightly earlier version, different graphics. Picked it up for £35 on Ebay in unused condition.
It is okay, takes out the road vibrations - hardly noticeable on a steel frame TBH. Only drawback is that the bolts for the clamp are not stainless and are corroding.0 -
75kg weight limit!!!!
Best lose another 3 kg then.+++++++++++++++++++++
