i'm not a fan of petitions, mainly because I cant spell and a big X just makes the page look messy, but this seems a worthwhile one, from an FB post...

Each year air ambulances make the difference in a number of cycling accidents across Britain. There is currently a petition to encourage the Government to exempt air ambulance services from duty on the fuel they use, in the same way as the lifeboats (RNLI) are exempt.

If the petition gains 100,000 signatures, Parliament is duty bound to debate the issue - currently it has over 49,600 signatures.

    +1 to signing this petition. I know there are lots of important issues out there, but this is a good cause/idea. Deserves 5 mins of mine/your/our time.

    I agree with you Cleat, this is a worthwhile petition, which I signed a month ago. I'm pleased to see that it has 67,631 signatures already, I'm not sure how it's gained 18,000 in less than half an hour though!

    I don't normally respond to calls to action on forums - the thread bleating about NHS changes is particularly getting on my nerves. But I think this one really deserves support. Helicopters are bloody expensive to run.
