Is a good find, not seen one for ages! Worth a bit too...0

Well the friend at work intend to rebuild it to see what it's like, it was a skip find by a friend of a friend, got to my mate via a roadie specialist who didn't want an MTB frame, he has teh ability to knock up some chainstays to get it going...

weren't these worth near enough £2500 new or something? i remember one being in my dads biking mag when it was a concept... "oh this full suspension nonsense will never catch on" he says :roll:0

Aye, weren't cheap: the idea with this one was that both ends compressed when just one end hit a bump! God knows why they thought it would work well lol.0

it looks like something you plough with to me0

When they realised it wasn't popular they sold all the downtubes to Orange.

Well my mate is stripping it down to recoat the main section as it's aweful quality, he then intend to build it with whatever he can find and decide whether to do it as a full on period build or not.
Ironic that this bikes linked suspension raises and lowers both wheels at the same time (you hit a bump with both wheels at the same time obviously........?) while the interlinked hydrogas suspension on BL cars (which did work) would raise the rear when the front compressed as it hit a bump to keep the car level.
