Got my new bike the other day and I am very pleased. Putting it together was easy and I took a quick test ride (about 6km). The feel was deffinately much different (in a good way) than the Cube Attention I had before so I need to get used to it before I get too wild!

When I went out the next day to make some adjustments and take a longer ride I found that my front tire was flat :(... I was worried it might be a problem from the shop but on inspection I found a 2cm thorn buried in the tire... talk about unlucky! I didn't even have the stuff I need to fix a tire so I'm stopping by the LBS after work today so I can get on the road again!

...Love the Rapid Fire shifters BTW :).

    Thanks.

One thing I forgot to mention was that the bike came fitted with "Black Sharks" instead of the "Rapid Robs" shown in the specs. From what I've been able to gather on the net, most reviewers consider them best suited for (really) muddy conditions, but I also google translated an Italian forum thread where one person also liked them as an all around tire.

Should I be "upset" or complain if I don't do much riding in very muddy conditions?

    Bike-Discount.de

The person that started the "Italian" thread I read also got a 2012 CC with the same tires (I know, tyres, I just can't get used to the English spelling...).

Actually, after a closer look, mine are called (Schwalbe) Black Shark "Active Line" and seem to be an all around beginner tire just like Rapid Robs and not the mud version.

Not sure if it's better or worse cheaper or more expensive (although they appear to be about the same)... But if I have to be brutally honest, I was actually looking forward to having the Rapid Robs (at least for a while) if for nothing else than just the fact that they are called Rapid Robs (dumb, I know).

In any case the "puncture protection" doesn't seem to be worth a much :| .
