best hardtail?

What's the best HT out there at the moment for less than £2000? I'm a big fan of orange bikes, having had the 5 pro and the crush 08 model. After 18 months break from cycling I'm looking again, but HT only. I thinking of a new crush, but also have my eyes on a santa cruz chameleon, orange elite, trek 6500. I prefer a stiff frame and I want the bike for fast, technical trails and cope with the odd jump or two. Any thoughts would be appreciated, many thanks.
