I'm thinking of buying the above front light (1600 lumen) but a mate says there have been problems with
overheating and lights failing in use.Has anyone used these lights? how do you rate them and
are there comparable makes around the £100 mark?

I got the 872's and they are superb no issues at all

i have the mickeymouse style and never had aproblem with either light head or batteries, but my brother had the battery with a led screen on it and that only lasted 10 months and then just died and never charged again,

As above i have mickey mouse style too mj818 i think great lights and plenty bright enough.
