Been off the bike for over 3 years due to health issues, with the most fun one an ankle replacement last year. After a LOT of gym work and rehab for the various problems I decided after the lovely weather last Wednesday that it was time to get back on the bike.
The weekend saw it stripped, all the old dry sealant out of the tyres (oh that was soo much fun) all back together so yesterday I finally picked up the bottle for a quick ride out to make sure nothing fell off the bike or me.
My good I missed it so much, was only out for 30 mins but had a smile ear to ear. Now comes the real hard work to get my fitness and strength back, but more importantly my mojo so I can start hammering that single track again 8)
Here's my baby when first built, bit dirtier now but purpose built for me and I love it.

welcomes back!
I do think those Pace FS are some of the nicest looking frames. Beautiful bike. There was a longer legged 6" variety too I think, thought they spoilt the lines with that one. Not that we buy bikes for the way they look mind...0 -
Well I got out as planned this morning, only did 7-8 miles around hainault forest up and down the hills. Tired, sore but had the biggest grin on my face
Going to take a while to get back to my old level of fitness but I've started, that's the main thing. Forgot how much fun it is watching the looks on people faces as the one legged mtbiker goes by, be even better in a few months when I don't sound like a steam engine.........Rikk(http://www.rcphotographic.co.uk)0 -
