ASO organisers of Tour de France and Vuelta a España among other races, have announced the running of Etape de la Vuelta, based on the very successful format of Etape du Tour Mondovelo of Le Tour de France, the event will allow an cyclists to race 1 stage of the 2012 Vuelta a few days before the professionals do it.

    I'm in for this as long as I get start place as I'm sure it'll be massively oversubscribed.
    And as long as they run a return service from the finish back to the start which I'm sure they will.
    Just registering your interest for now - entries not open yet, in fact little detail other than velopelotons site (which I'm impressed with)
