Finding Gethin?

I've got as far as finding Gethin is just off the A470 on the way up to Merthyr from Cardiff. I can see from Google what looks like an unmarked road heading up to what looks like a parking / picnic area or whatever. Where do you ride to then to get to start of downhill? Is it easy to figure it out. From some videos I've seen, would I be right in saying the downhill then finishes back down by the car park? :)

    Hi mate

    Yeah you are right that the DH trail finishes off in the corner of the car park on your left as you drive in. When I have been there I've actually walked up the trail, checked it out and then rode down, but you can follow your nose up the fire roads to reach the top. Its a fair slog though.
