Some time ago I returned my Schwalbe R tyres for replacement with the newer R.1. As they had none in stock they replaced them with Duranos and the promise to send R.1's when they were available. True to their word they arrived. Now some months later the R.1's have started to crack and lift at the centre and after an email to Schwalbe and carrying out their request to return said tyre, 5 days later 2 new ZX's and tubes arrived. Customer service second to none. Thank you.

Agree, Schwalbe UK customer service is excellent. It seems to be run by a single chap (cant remember his details), but I received personal service to a high level, with a no qualms swap of tyres when I had unknowingly bought the wrong ones and got an early puncture* (i.e. not even Schwalbe's fault). They even threw in free inner tubes!
* I bought Ultremo's thinking they were something like Duranos, and complained when I got a puncture after 20 miles. I even said it's sods law, but just wanted to feed it back. The told me to send them back the punctured Ultremo's and sent me a free set of Durano's + tubes, which have been perfect since!0 -
You got one puncture and complained to the manufacturer? wow0

Given the prices Schwalbe try to charge for tyres, it's not inconceivable to expect Neutral Service if I paid RRP for their tyres ;-) OK on the main, they are good tyres, but I wait for Planet-X to sell them at reasonable prices.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I had two holes ripped in my rear Ultremo ZX. Again excellent customer service sent a replacement, four tubes. All arrived within a week.
Did take about 3 weeks to respond to my original email, which fits with the one man and his dog theory. Chaps name was Will if IIRC. Got my eye on a set of ZX in blue for my summer beast.Trek 1.1c (2012) - For commuting
