Headset and steerer tube adjusters need confirming

Hey, This is probably a common question but i need it confirming before i buy.

Ive got a Lapierre froggy 318 frame with a 1/5th head tube and some Rock shox pikes with a 1-1/8th steerer tube.
I Also have a cane creek s8 headset off my old bike as well as a NC17 1/5th headset which came with the frame.

Im just wondering do i need some 1-5 to 1-1/8 reducers and are they universal or do they only fit certain headsets ? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=2219

    Could work. Check our insertion depth.

    My advice, rather than messin about with extra cups would be to go down to your local cane creek dealer and order a 40 series headset with this spec: SHIS:ZS49/28.6|ZS49/30 (1.5" - 1-1/8" Conversion Standard). it will be about £40 but last for ages and not need extra adaptors.

    + some other bikes.

    little update..

    just looking around to see what i can find for this atm as im not in no rush..

    Also i have been suggested a Cane creek HSS 2420K Headset on another forum, but when i google that nothing much comes up apart from ebay pages? Is that the correct name and would any of these fit ?

    edit - well ive just had another google and it looks like i have missed out on the Hss 2420K (?) on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251013807787?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_500wt_898 dont tell me ive just missed out on saving £20 :(:D ??

    edit 2 - I think its the part number, and its supposed to be HSS2430K .. correct me if im wrong tho :)
