  • I've got a 2010 Trek 2.3 and have been very happy with it. I notice that you've upgraded the wheels which is something I'm thinking of doing in the not too distant future. How have you found the Pro Lite Bracciano's? Have they made a difference?

They are fab, nice and lite and make the bike feel like I can throw it about a bit more. well worth the extra pennys.

Bike looks good. I have a 2011 2.1 that I managed to get hold of at a bargain price, the bike was immaculate it had been barely ridden by it's previous owner. How have you found the ride, I'm very surprised that the bike feels comfy to ride. Thought the frame would make it a bit unforgiving, but I'm enjoying riding it.

Anyhow I'm thinking of putting a node 2 computer on it, my bike has the sensor in the fork leg. Did you only need to attach a magnet to the wheel so you could use your computer? Does the magnet come with the computer or did you have to purchase one seperately?

I also managed to get this at a bargin price and again the owner had not even been on the bike as it looked brand new when I went to view it.

The node 2 came with the bike he also chucked in the heart rate monitor and the cadence sensor, the magnet was already attached so I'm unsure if it comes with the computer or not, although i think it should do.

I have found the ride to be comfy also I have found my adverage speed has increased loads from going from a Trek 1.1 to this :D

Glad to hear you bought the bike and saved a few pounds. It's a nice feeling when you manage to buy a nearly new bike for a bargain price that you're very happy with. I'm hoping a madone 6 or colnago c59 in my size will appear on ebay with very little use as the owner has decided that the bike is not for them. :)

I did replace the practically new wheels on my bike with a spare set of mavic kysrium equipes, as I found the bontrager ssr's a bit heavy. Initially also I found the original chainset (Shimano R600) gearing with 50-34 chainrings a little small, so I upgraded the chainset to a shimano 105 with 53-39 chainrings and now I find it just right.

Thanks for the info on the computer I'll see what comes with it when I get it.

I love my 2.3, ride the bon wheels in the winter and oper Pro in the summer. it rides a lot better on the pro's, but a little bit of a harder ride. Have changed the Compact to a 53/39 and it very good.
