For no other reason than to be able to tell someone if they ask, what sort of rear suspension linkage is my Canyon?
I'm thinking four bar as it has pivots on the chainstay? I did read the suspension thing on BR but wanted to double check I'm reading it right lol.

Yep, four bar (FSR 'style'). The lower than normal chainstay pivot will make a difference though ie a more pronounced VPP and instant centre path.0

Should that then *in theory* provide a compromise between suspension action under braking and pedal bob?0 -
Without looking at the exact config is hard to say, just going on generalisations.
Standard FSR barely alter the axle path. These sort do a little more, usually!0
