    My social conscience is set obviously too high, I'll have a word with myself and send the daughter 'down't pit' or 'up't chimley', I had no idea there were so many Daily Mail readers who rode bikes.

    Hardly a new thing. My younger brother spent most evenings of his childhood stood just to the left of the telly holding the aerial. He was good at it too, we got a better picture and he got dinner and a roof over his head!
