    Sagan please
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.
  • Cav please.
Bianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!

Freire would be my second choice as well. Problem is, you never know what Oscar the Cat will get up to. He's just as capable of taking a wrong turn or stopping at a cafe.

Also - just to confuddle my own thinking - what's the likelihood of Freire winning a 4th MSR in the face of all comers? An Italian hasn't won since Pozz'tato in '06... they'll be gagging for it. Liquigas might have another sneaky card in their back pocket, too; Viviani...If he places, can I get some points for an honourable mention?

...Sorry, afx237vi !!... all this conjecture should prob be on the other MSR threads...

Freire odds are anywhere between 8/1 and 16/1.

Nah, don't let me stop you. Personally I'm torn between deciding whether to watch MSR or Wales winning another grand slam... it's a dilemma alright.

    Yeah - do that.

Zen Buddhists talk about "ringing like a cracked bell" (when intentions and actions don't work as one): that's what you'll be doing at home, flicking between channels... Down the pub, you'll be locked into one thing.

Watching the last 40km of MSR unfold, though...!! I think I may have let out a bit of a squeal, then, and moved forward in my chair just typing those words...

Imagine a future when an entire pub-load of folk are watching the cycling...

I think Cav will be all glory or nothing. I'm having a rubbish season so far so need to catch up quick.

Fabian Cancellara for me please afx.

That's probably what I'll do. I love cycling, but it's a bit special here when Wales are doing well. One thing, though, is you generally don't get drunk rugby fans quoting Zen proverbs at you in the pub

Oh yeah, my pick is Cavendish.

  • I'm going to follow Cav.

Cav: Please, please, please listen! I've got one or two things to say.
The Crowd: Tell us! Tell us both of them!
Cav: Look, you've got it all wrong! You don't NEED to follow ME, You don't NEED to follow ANYBODY! You've got to ride for your selves! You're ALL individuals!
The Crowd: Yes! We're all individuals!
    Cav: You're all different!
The Crowd: Yes, we ARE all different!
    Man in crowd: I'm not...
    The Crowd: Sch!

I'd be well happy with a Welsh double - rugby and cycling (Geraint with a last kilo sneaky one - come on; don't tell me you haven't fantasised about that!?). Might that mean a bit of a "delay" in getting the PTP MSR figures sorted?

Well...i'm going to take a gamble on Cancellara please.

It probably will be Cav....but it'd be nice to see something explosive.
