Can I ride up fort William Red / Downhill in april?

Hi,

I'm in fort william in mid april and its says that red route / downhill not open until may for uplift..is it ok to still ride up and down them ? or generally use lower bits and cycle around ? does it breeak any laws or is it just they prefer you not to etc ? thanks
