Garmin 800 - route planning

On Previous Garmin device I had, I was able to plot a course/ route whatever on the device itself

Can you do that on the 800 ie without a computer. I do have City Navigator mapping on it

You can pop a destination in and it'll navigate there for you. I don't think you can manually plot though...

I can do that ie destination - on my previous device, when I did LEJoG I was able to plot new route on device by plotting in various via points on way to destination to force GPS to take me down particular roads etc

On an 800? If its possible I don't know how, would be pretty handy though. On my LEJOG we planned it all in advanced and imported that route into a Garmin to follow.

On an 800? If its possible I don't know how, would be pretty handy though. On my LEJOG we planned it all in advanced and imported that route into a Garmin to follow.

On My LEJoG I had planned it all as well, but then changed the route from Gretna to Glasgow whilst in hotel that night and did so again further north as well

I'm b*ggered if I can remember how I did it on that previous device.
