Hello all,

I have a buckled rear wheel from a Cube Acid 2011 with Reba forks. I don't know much about my wheels other than they are 6 bolt. Does anyone one have a good wheelset for sale that they think would be compatible with my bike?

I have also found these:

On-One MAX Adaptable Maxle Wheelset - http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/WPOOMAX/on_ ... _wheelset_

Mavic CrossRide Disc Wheels - http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+Shop ... ir_856.htm

Fulcrum Red Metal 10 MTB Wheelset - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/fulcrum-red-met ... heelset-1/

Roval Traverse AL Disc 2010 Wheelset - http://www.evanscycles.com/products/rov ... t-ec029582

Does anyone know if these are good?

Thanks

Chris

What dropouts does your fork have ie 9mm QR, 15 or 20mm?

Holy cow. At that price the roval all day long. Great wheels for that money. Come with the 15 and 20 adaptors too so future proofed nicely. Might buy some myself!

I've got a set of the On-One MAX wheels. In all honesty, I'd not bother. If I had the money back I'd save some more and get some Hopes or Superstar jobbies :x

The first set I got, with the QR dropouts in, had a small amount of play from the end caps after the first ride. I sent them back quickly, they puzzled for a while and kept hold of them for a week, brought in their wheel wizard etc. Then decided they were just broken and sent me some new ones.

The new ones had play again within 1 ride, I've tried stripping them etc. Generic sealed bearing hubs, so easy to strip and rebuild. They just seem a bit rubbish, maybe a 15mm axle will sort it down the line.

It's a shame, as aside from that they're great, decent weight.

Edit: Ooh, bargain Rovals indeed. I'd get them!

That's Traverse ALs not ELs btw- still good wheels but not as good. Seems to be more or less what they cost now, most of the Roval range has been on big discount for ages.

Not too shabby though still, decent width, standard DT Swiss Comp spokes, DT hubs (I'm assuming?). Haven't heard any bad words about them.

I have to admit, I was very miffed when I saw Specialized are calling pretty much ALL their unbranded wheels Rovals this year. The set on the Evo Comp are apparently >2kg, with their standard HiLo hubs and plain gauge spokes, yet they somehow come with Roval written on them :x Shame!

Spec' wheels can be hit and miss, my daughters using one off a lardrock, 'alex' branded rim, 1.25Kg for rear only, while the lads Spesh P1 AM (2008, list at the time £450) wheelset as stock was sub 2Kg.....
